I got all excited about making videos again and I filmed this, feeling pretty good about it. I was happy with my editing and I uploaded it to Youtube yesterday, sharing it on twitter and the like. A couple of hours later when I got to work I had a moment to check how it looked on Youtube, I discovered that it wasn’t my edited video that I’d uploaded but one of the takes that I’d dismissed. THE HORROR.
I deleted it everywhere it got shared. Then I had to wait until I got home to upload the right file in it’s stead. I felt so terrible about it! There I was feeling all good about something and it was utterly wrong. It’s not the end of the world and I can share the correct video now, no harm came from it except to my ego. Right now I’m still feeling a little small, but in a couple of days I can add it to my roster of silly stories and laugh about it.
For those of you who don’t frequent Youtube: Vlogmas is when people upload a video every day in December. EVERY DAY. It’s amazing. Two of my favourites who are doing it right now are Simon over on SavidgeReads and Rosianna Halse Rojas.
